I'm Kelli. This is my story.

Picture
I earned a BA in Psychology with hopes of pursuing graduate education and becoming a therapist. But life has a way of zigging when we plan to zag, and right out of undergrad I ended up venturing into the corporate world, working in administration and corporate marketing for high profile companies like Irvine Company, CBS, and Experian.
Along the way, I got married, had kids, got divorced, got remarried, and overcame deep personal battles with depression, substance use, codependence, anxiety, and grief. I leaned into the help of therapists, recovery programs, nature, spiritual leaders, and meditation to finally face the trauma of my childhood and completely transform my life.
I authored several books – three fiction novels and a self-help book that discusses my personal journey and practical steps I took to climb out of the darkest points in my life. I founded a nonprofit organization that assisted low-income mothers and children in my community by providing essentials like diapers, food, and clothing. After a deeply introspective and transformative healing journey and fifteen years in the fast-paced corporate world, I felt burned out in my career, like I was not fulfilling my purpose at all. My passion for helping people was too loud to ignore.
I went back to school for my master's degree, finished in two years with a 4.0 GPA, passed the counseling licensing exam, and never looked back! I sought out the best supervisors to work with, applied for associate licensure, and began my therapy practice immediately.

I know I am right where I'm supposed to be in my life, fulfilling my mission to assist women of all ages who are suffering and help them through their own journeys to peace and purpose.

I absolutely love talking with people about their life stories, learning about each unique individual with each of their unique experiences and working with them to heal the past and plan with hope for the future.

Professional Counselor Associate

Picture
I am a registered Professional Counselor Associate in Oregon (#R7916) and a Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate (#MC61353653) in Washington. I practice from a psychodynamic, attachment-based framework and utilize an eclectic range of interventions drawing from acceptance and commitment therapy, eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), accelerated experiential dynamic psychotherapy, internal family systems, narrative therapy, and cognitive behavioral therapy.

Our therapy sessions will be collaborative, insightful, and meaningful. My goal is to build a confidential trusting relationship with you and walk alongside you on your journey to emotional and mental wellbeing.

Together, let’s discover where you currently feel stuck. We’ll develop skills to manage immediate symptoms, explore what may have contributed to your current issue, and pursue goals for future success. I incorporate mindfulness, meditation, EMDR, and experiential learning into my practice. I am also just a regular person who likes attending rock concerts, watching movies, and going hiking.
